Description	1.5 x 1 x 2' ; Ivory?; White sculpture of a walrus. The necessary skills using hand tools, hatchets, files, rasps, and knives have been passed down through generations. The artists have a direct relationship with their materials and generally work outside, even in the wintertime. Once the sculpture is in its final shape with details complete, it is rubbed by hand with stone dust or fine sand to the desired finish.
